After a short postponement, we're glad to announce that
The Architectural Centre's 24-hour design competition launches this Friday in Wellington. Check out the details here.
20 Under 40 has been running for years in Wellington, organised by the faithful Architectural Centre. Despite rumours that this competition is ageist and limited to the youthful, the competition is open to everybody, with individual and team entries welcome from all disciplines, and of course students.
This year's event will be launched at 6pm Friday March 4th (thats THIS Friday!) at the School of Architecture, 139 Vivian St, Wellington.
The deadline for submission, rather obviously, is 6pm Saturday March 5th, hosted at the astro-turfed-wonderland at 14 Holland St, otherwise known as the Productspec HQ. And thus the party will ensue.
With over $2500 in prizes, the $10 entry fee is a meagre cost for being involved in a great event, and a shindig at Productspec, and all registration fees will be donated to the Red Cross Earthquake Appeal.
Prizegiving will be held 3pm Sunday March 6th at Productspec, judges this year will be Lucie Desrosiers (Beca Senior urban designer), Trevor Mallard (MP for Hutt South), and Simon Twose (Senior Lecturer VUW Architecture School.
Pictured is the teaser-flyer released from the Architectural Centre.
Enjoy.
