Fill up your Calendar with a handful of public lectures, exhibitions and the famous Pecha Kucha's spreading around the country.

Tonight (14 April), Charles Renfro, New York-based partner of Diller Scofidio + Renfro speaks in Wellington at the City Gallery, info here, frustratingly for some, it's been sold out for a while, so if you've got a ticket, don't forget!  Is there a market for scalped lecture tickets?  Probably.

Communiqué, the public lecture series hosted by Auckland University's School of Architecture and Planning, and has two events coming up.  Next Tuesday, 20 April, renowned composer and teacher, Robert Constable will present "Proportion and Musical Design" which sounds fascinating, and the following week, 27 April, architects Aaron Paterson and Dominic Glamuzina of GP-A have titled their presentation 'Salad Days', in which they will "discuss GP-A projects and student work from the design studios, Monstrous, Noise, Something Must Die and Fibre and will expand on how key concepts generate our architectural position."

'Miles: A Life in Architecture' opens April 23rd, at the Gus Fisher Gallery, and mark it down, Sir Miles will be in conversation with Exhibition curator Dr. Rodney Wilson on April 24.  The exhibition will also host lectures from Dr. Jessica Halliday and Associate Professor Paul Walker, who will discuss Miles Warren and brutalism, and Warren's contribution to New Zealand modernism respectively.

Pecha Kucha spreads its mad wings to three cities in the coming months, first up will be Wellington, April 19 at the Downstage Theatre, see the line up here.  Coming up in May, Auckland hosts PKN_AKL_18 on Wednesday 19th, at Shed 10 and 12, Wellesley St, and Christchurch hosts PKN_CHCH_08 on the 20th.  More details of entry fee's, times and locations at PechaKucha.co.nz.
